The Chamber is proud to announce that our new Executive Director, Arlene Alen has started!
Arlene comes to us directly from her role as the president and CEO of the Chino Valley Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center in Arizona - a position she held since 2014 - where she was responsible for economic development, marketing, tourism, community leadership, media and government relations, and placemaking.
Alen’s work in placemaking will be an especially exciting addition to the Chamber’s core commitment to building a thriving a resilient Jefferson County economy and community.
In 2015, Alen was named to the International Placemaking Leadership Council. She joined this cross-disciplinary group of Placemakers working in many diverse contexts in 55 countries worldwide all of whom share the passion and expertise for creating vital places. With community-based participation at its center, Placemaking capitalizes on a local community's assets, inspiration and potential and it results in the creation of quality public spaces and events that contribute to people's health, happiness and economic well-being. Placemaking facilitates creative patterns of use, paying particular attention to the physical, cultural and social identities that define a place and support its ongoing evolution.
Please help us to provide a warm welcome to Arlene!
