Sarah Hadlock, CPA receives CFP® Certification and Joins Community of Advisors as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional

Sarah Hadlock, CPA, CFP®,  Manager at The Business Guides in Port Townsend, WA has been authorized by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFP Board) to use the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and CFP® certification marks in accordance with CFP Board certification and renewal requirements.

The CFP® marks identify those individuals who have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework and have passed the CFP® Certification Examination covering the following areas:  the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits, and estate planning.  CFP® professionals also agree to meet ongoing continuing education requirements and to uphold CFP Board’s Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility, Rules of Conduct and Financial Planning Practice Standards.

Ms. Hadlock joined The Business Guides in August 2012. As Manager of the firm, Sarah oversees both day to day operations and tax services, and is the senior accountant on staff. As a CPA and CFP® Professional, Sarah combines planning for taxes, retirement, and social security to provide guidance to small business owners. This holistic view is key to The Business Guides’ mission of helping business owners maintain financial viability in the present, while taking a proactive approach to achieve future goals. The Business Guides also offers services for business management, financing strategies and exit planning.
