A Word From The VIC

A young family of four from Kennewick  just left our Visitor Center.  The young son was about 12 years old.  He had wanted to specifically come to Port Townsend in order to do a history project for school.  Our volunteers helped the family find a place to eat dinner, and chatted a little about vacations, bowling alleys, castles, Fort Worden, and hometowns.  As they left, our volunteers overheard the boy say, “Well, this place just has Welcome written all over it!”

Yeah, that’s how we roll.

VIC Summer Volunteer Party

VIC Summer PartyThe Visitor Information Center in Port Townsend is an invaluable resource for folks–tourists AND locals–looking to connect with local businesses.

However, the VIC (we call it “the Vick”!) hums and thrums thanks to the hard work and dedication of a terrific group of volunteers.  We recently held an end-of-summer party for these great Chamber volunteers. If you missed it, please be sure to say “THANK YOU” to our crew the next time you are at the VIC.

We would also like to thank Chamber members Commander’s Beach House, Inn at McCurdy House, Elevated Ice Cream, Sirens, FinnRiver Cidery, & Wine Seller for the delicious food and drink.
