The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce’s 2010 Business Expo is all about building alliances, connecting the countywide business community and helping your business succeed.  The Business Expo is set for 10am to 4pm on October 6th, Wednesday, at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.

The morning will feature “Business to Business” for Chamber members, lunch time will be the popular “Speed-Networking”, and the afternoon will be open to the public.  Breakout seminar sessions in the morning and afternoon will feature speakers on building business and social networking. You don’t want to miss this chance to be a part of this incredible networking and marketing opportunity.

It’s time to get your R&B on! We hope you can join the Chamber at our August 19 Concerts on the Dock show next to the Northwest Maritime Center in downtown Port Townsend.

The Seattle-based group Solbird will be our featured band, and this is a show you do not want to miss. SolBird is “Seattle’s premier R&B band.”  The group delivers a unique blend of Soul, R&B and Funk fronted by the powerful vocal duo, Sydney Robertson and Tazlyn Fischer.  Band members have collectively shared the stage with such legendary acts as The Drifters, Soulive, Grass Roots,  and John Hiatt to name a few. Their performance is sponsored by Evergreen Fitness.

Concerts on the Dock are held every Thursday until September 2, from 6-8pm. They are free, and located at the end of Water Street. Event sponsors are First Federal and The Chamber  Board of Directors.

“Magic is in the Air” this weekend at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Port Townsend as the area welcomes the 2010 Jefferson County Fair, August 13-15.

The fair is a terrific celebration of Jefferson County, with arts, crafts, and agricultural competitions. It is also a good place to learn about many of the fine organizations that call this place home.  Of course, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention the FUN you can have at the fair – rides, music, magic, mud races and more are all on tap.

Tickets can be purchased at the gates or in advance until 10 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 12.  Tickets range from $6 for an adult one-day pass to a $45 for a large Family Pack. Don’t miss the Saturday Salmon BBQ and the Sunday Beef BBQ!
