Wine and Chocolate Event

This is the Chamber mixer of the year! If you go to no other Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce event, this is the one not to miss. Why? Because we have artfully combined for you the *best* local chocolate with the *best* local wines. You like to be happy and experience delight, yes? And what better place to experience such pleasure than at the Northwest Maritime Center.

February 8th, 5:30-7:30. We look forward to seeing you there! Remember to bring business cards. It is a business mixer, after all. And here is a helpful conversation starter for you to ask new acquaintances and old alike: What do you like best about your business? Now you are off and running. Enjoy!

Help the VIC Help Your Business

The Chamber’s Visitor Information Center is where visitors and residents come to learn about things to do and places to see.

If your business or organization is doing something in 2011 – we want to know about it. We are happy to post your fliers of upcoming events/concerts/dances on our bulletin board. And the more you keep VIC staff and volunteers in the loop, the more they can help you.

Chamber Postpones Business Expo planned for Oct 6th

There is no question we are going through difficult economic times.  It is all over the news and in our minds.  The fallout to this is that our business community is also feeling anxiety about what to participate in and what to support.  It has been a very long and busy summer.   We are hearing that business owners are not able to devote time and energy away from their businesses to participate in the upcoming Business Expo.

We are postponing the Business Expo on October 6th because of just this issue.  We are committed to providing excellent programs that are enthusiastically supported and well attended for our members rather than events that don’t use your business and sponsorships to the highest benefit.  The Business Expo will be back next spring.  Last year the Tri-Area Chamber had a spectacular Expo, and we are looking forward to providing the same high quality event that our Chamber is known for.  We think it is a great idea; a meeting place to showcase your business, strut your stuff, learn, network, and meet your fellow Jefferson County Business community.
