Hard to believe that September is already here, but we’re going to send the summer out with a bang!

The Chamber’s final Concerts on the Dock performance features the winner of our Battle of the Bands show from earlier in the summer.

The winner is Blacky Sheridan, a hard-charging rock band featuring Eddie Forcier, Jay Cousland, Mike Martin, and Jason Dempsey. Their show tonight is sponsored by Siren’s Pub in Port Townsend.

Concerts on the Dock runs from 6-8pm. It’s free, and located at the end of Water Street. Event sponsors are First Federal and The Chamber  Board of Directors.

It’s time to get your R&B on! We hope you can join the Chamber at our August 19 Concerts on the Dock show next to the Northwest Maritime Center in downtown Port Townsend.

The Seattle-based group Solbird will be our featured band, and this is a show you do not want to miss. SolBird is “Seattle’s premier R&B band.”  The group delivers a unique blend of Soul, R&B and Funk fronted by the powerful vocal duo, Sydney Robertson and Tazlyn Fischer.  Band members have collectively shared the stage with such legendary acts as The Drifters, Soulive, Grass Roots,  and John Hiatt to name a few. Their performance is sponsored by Evergreen Fitness.

The weather forecasters are telling us that we’re on the cusp of a heat wave. We love to hear that, and we’ll do our part to heat things up tonight by hosting our August 12 Concerts on the Dock show next to the Northwest Maritime Center in downtown Port Townsend.

The Lonely H from Port Angeles will be our featured band, and they crank out some excellent 70s-inspired rock. Their performance is sponsored by All About Escrow and Cobalt Mortgage.

Our pleasant summer weather has helped make the Chamber’s Thursday Concerts on the Dock series a great success.  Our next concert on August 5th features, May Palmer, “The Queen of Ivory Soul.”

Wowing domestic and international audiences for nearly twenty years with her passionate performances, May has performed for sold-out crowds at the Apollo Theater in NYC, and has appeared as a featured performer at the Riviera, Luxor, and Excalibur casinos in Las Vegas. She has appeared on BET’s nationally-broadcast program “jazz Discovery” and has been the opening act for the likes of Bo Diddley, The Rippingtons, and Syro Gyra.

May Palmer’s concert is sponsored by Subway Sandwiches (across from the ferry terminal), and event sponsors are First Federal, and the Chamber Board of Directors.

The first Concerts on the Dock last Thursday was quite the event!

Despite rain for most of the day – the sun came out right as the band started.  The beer garden was packed, In Seasons Catering provided wonderful food – And there was dancing in the streets!
