Steve and Nancy Bishop are the owners of Alpenfire Cider (Formerly Wildfire Cider).

Alpenfire Cider is Washington’s Organic hard cider producer. We grow 900 English and French traditional cider apple trees with a few heritage apples scattered through. The trees are tightly trellised on just about an acre and a half of land. The first year our orchard produced enough fruit to ferment was 2008, we had 2,400 pounds of apples and were delighted. In 2009 we had over 15,000 pounds of apples and we were astounded. The cold wet spring of 2010 slowed us down a little but we were still able to produce over 700 cases of cider this year. Because we are a 2 person plus friends crew that is probably enough for awhile.
