Office Manager at Chevy Chase Beach Cabins:

We are seeking a new office manager at Chevy Chase Beach Cabins.  This is a unique and exciting opportunity to spend your days at this beautiful perch overlooking Discovery Bay, just 10 minutes outside of Port Townsend.  We rent out seven clustered vacation cottages year-round.  We pride ourselves on providing our guests with a wonderful experience from the moment we take their reservation until the moment they check-out of their cabin (and beyond, as many of our guest return year after year). As we are a small, family-run business – candidates must be willing and able to participate in all aspects of the cabin operations.  The primary role of Office Manager is guest-services related: answering phones and emails, taking reservations, checking-in guests, giving property tours, answering questions about Port Townsend, and providing our guests and potential guests with a top notch hospitality experience.  The Office Manager will also be in charge of overseeing the housekeeping calendar and will spend a bit of time shadowing our head housekeeper to gain intimate knowledge of the seven rental cottages.  There are days when everyone on staff helps with cabin cleaning, and slower days in the office might be complemented with gardening work, help with the pool, cabin/Inn cleaning, laundry, etc . There is excellent potential for long-term employment and increased office responsibilities (including event planning, marketing, website maintenance, and bookkeeping) for the right person.

We are hoping to begin training ASAP and are offering up to 18/hrs per week through May.  At that time, our current Office Manager will transition to one day a week and the standard 30/hr per week schedule will begin on June 1.  Hours would typically be M-F, 10am – 4pm with occasional evening and weekend work for events or busy transition days.

Our ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills and is outgoing, friendly, highly organized, efficient, proactive, and a team player.  Our team needs a multi-tasker and a problem solver.  General computer skills are important (Word, Excel, Quickbooks). Hospitality experience is a bonus, but not a requirement.

The wage for this position is in line with experience.  Healthcare benefits and PTO accrual begin after the training period.
